Concrete has long been a staple in construction, it’s versatility and strength means it has been the go to for the foundations of large play structures for decades. However, in an ongoing bid to decrease their environmental impact, Richter have been reviewing their manufacturing and installation processes and developed a process which instead utilises soil on site and recycled rubble to create a durable and eco friendly alternative.
This method not only reduces environmental impact but also offers several practical benefits, including easier maintenance, longer service life, and immediate usability after installation. The structure can easily be removed and moved, if required, or when it reaches its end of life it can effectively be taken away, leaving no waste product behind.
Mark Grimshaw, Sales Manager at Timberplay comments:-
“Climbing structures are designed to replicate that very fundamental tree climbing and play activity that we all remember from our youth but children of today have less opportunity to experience that sort of play. This new innovation from Richter Spielgeräte is a great step forward in protecting children’s experiences of play, not just for today, but for the future.”
Richter and Timberplay are currently reviewing how this pioneering new installation process could be used for other products from their extensive product range.
